Some stories sound like fairytales—not because they are romantic, but because every obstacle seems determined to derail them until love and teamwork prevail. This is one of those stories.

When Noir Events began planning Joseph and Hewri's wedding, we knew it would be grand. We did not know it would become legendary.

Family and bridesmaids were getting ready together in the suite when the storm alert arrived.

A vision and a family from across Europe

With roughly 150 guests flying in from all over Europe, we had to strike a perfect balance: craft something intimate and personal that still reflected a rich mix of cultures, palates, and expectations. We started by building relationships—with the couple, the caterer, every vendor, and the local community. We spent months tailoring everything—the menu, décor, logistics, welcome kits, sound design, and ambiance—down to the smallest detail.

The result? A plan that could take anyone's breath away, and a chain of decisions that would prove crucial when crisis knocked on the door.

The ceremonial symbols for Joseph and Hewri were ready long before the plans flipped.

Culinary perfection with Dalua

We chose Dalua Catering, an Elche-based team known for seasonal ingredients, creative presentation, and impeccable service. Their philosophy lined up perfectly with ours: you do not just fill plates—you create taste memories.

Dalua made sure guests were treated to elegant canapés the moment they arrived.

Their crew worked shoulder to shoulder with us to guarantee that every dish, every plate, and every detail—from napkin folds to pacing—matched exactly what the couple had envisioned.

We are immensely grateful to Dalua for not only delivering but exceeding expectations. Their professionalism and passion carried us through the drama that followed.

Music, memories, and magic

Music is never just background—it is one of the strongest carriers of emotion at any celebration. For Joseph and Hewri we booked DJ Armin Zamani, who flew in from Stockholm to soundtrack the entire evening. He arrived before the guests, tuned every level, and orchestrated seamless musical journeys from ceremony to final dance.

Armin kept the energy alive from the vows to the very last song.

To ensure every moment lived on long after the party, Martin Baker handled photo and video. His eye for light, movement, and feeling captured the essence of the night—the charged energy, the joy in tiny details, and the magic between storm and calm.

Every detail, down to the fans, carried the Noir signature.

The major pivot—12 hours before “I do”

One of our core event-planning beliefs is simple: always have backup plans. But nothing could fully prepare us for what happened about 12 hours before the celebration.

A state weather alert for storm and flash floods hit, and the mayor of Elche ordered an immediate suspension of all events. The entire venue was canceled.

We moved. We dove into calls, contacts, and partners. Together with the couple we made a radical decision: move the entire wedding—food, music, décor, transport—about 90 minutes away to Nikki Puerto in the marina of Torrevieja.

We phoned Mehran, who runs Nikki Puerto, and explained everything. His response: “We will welcome you with open arms—we will make it happen.” Through tight collaboration we re-rigged catering, sound, logistics, seating charts—every component—to build a fresh stage for the celebration.

It turned into a logistical marathon, but every gear locked into place. Once the evening began, the earlier chaos was invisible—only elegance remained.

A magical night of love, music, and cuisine

When guests arrived at Nikki Puerto they were greeted by sea breeze, warm lighting, and a tangible sense of anticipation. Florals and décor landed exactly where they needed to be—even though everything had been rebuilt from scratch just hours before.

Toasts carried extra emotion once the party moved into the marina.

Music flowed, laughter took over, and the dance floor filled. Service hit every mark, plates were flawless, and under the stars Joseph and Hewri celebrated their new journey while Martin Baker captured each smile, dance step, and happy tear to preserve it forever.

Our warmest thanks

We want to extend heartfelt gratitude to:

  • Dalua Catering – for exquisite food, stellar service, and absolute professionalism.
  • Mehran and the Nikki Puerto team – for saving the day and welcoming us with open arms.
  • DJ Armin Zamani – for filling every second with energy and rhythm.
  • Martin Baker – for capturing everything in photo and film with perfect intuition.
  • Joseph & Hewri – for trusting us with the most important day of their lives.

What does it take to deliver an extraordinary wedding?

Beyond love and aesthetics, there was a “secret recipe” to this fairytale:

  1. Strong, open collaboration – we acted like partners, not vendors.
  2. Redundancy and flexibility – when the storm hit, we were ready.
  3. Calm, fast decisions – clarity and courage in pressured moments.
  4. Relationships and trust – they make the impossible solvable.
  5. Detail control with a macro view – every napkin fold and every star mattered.

When the final song drifted over the marina, we stood there smiling just like the guests. Not because we merely survived a storm, but because together we created something even more beautiful.
